Happy Halloween! Spooky season is upon us, are you getting dressed up to go trick or treating?
Here’s some tricks to keeping your teeth healthy while still enjoying those mountains of treats.
- Choose your treats wisely, try and avoid sticky ones that stay on your teeth after you’ve finished eating them (e.g. gummy sweets, toffees and chews).
- Brush your teeth twice a day; once before bed and in the morning – before eating sweets!
- Drink more water, wash all that sugar away with water, avoid fizzy/sugary juices especially when eating sweet treats.
- Eat your treats at meal times, avoid snacking on them in-between meals. This is to lower the amount of sugar intake throughout the day.
And remember to visit your dentist for regular check-ups.
